Turkish Cuisine Week: Marketing Kütahya Cuisine

On May 23, 2024, a talk titled "Marketing Kütahya Cuisine" was held in our Faculty Conference Hall as part of Turkish Cuisine Week, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Eren and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kansu Gençer. Speakers included Prof. Dr. Hilmi Rafet Yüncü of Anadolu University, Prof. Dr. Rahman Temizkan of Eskişehir Osmangazi University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Olcay Kılınç of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet Boz, Kütahya Provincial Tourism Director Zekeriya Ünal, academic and administrative staff, and students.

The talk addressed the development of Turkish cuisine from past to present, its richness, potential initiatives for its promotion, marketing, and preservation, the geographical indication system, and the sustainability of our intangible cultural heritage. Information was also provided on the historical process of Kütahya cuisine and its traditional recipes, its strengths and weaknesses, and potential actions for its promotion. Following the talk, the speakers answered questions from the students.

The talk concluded after the speakers were presented with certificates of appreciation for their participation.
